Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Our dear friend, Loustiquette, got her angel wings yesterday. We are sending a lot of love to her #1, her grandad who is devastated, and to her pesky little sister, Hisia (Genji's cousin) who suddenly finds herself an only cat. Therre is a blog post here. These things really make you realise how tenuous our hold on happiness is. I know I worried #1 a whole lot when I was sick, so I am going to try really hard to stay healthy now. And that blue menace had better do the same (and ditto of course for my sister Sei and that Beebsy son of mine).

I snuggled up in my little sleep pod as I reflected:

I then moved to the living room where there were sunpuddles:

In the afternoon, I tried out the new hammock in the study. You remember the one that needed repair? well, it didn't get repaired and it finally collapsed last week. Thankfully, #1 had a new one exactly the same!

My heart wasn't really in it but I tried a little head dangle anyway...

We are crossing our paws for better days, when none of our friends are sick or have to leave.

Manly Monday

Genji: Mee-Yow. It's me, Da Genj! #1 has been worried about me this past week because I wasn't eating that well for a few days. I tried to explain to her that when she is feeling out of sorts, I feel the same way. She had a horrible experience with a (now ex) client early last week and, well, we all felt the vibes...

I found this fun crate in the kitchen and spent some time exploring it:

Da Beebs: I have been helping #1 with the laundry. The dryer is a pretty good place for a bath!

And I do have a rather fine portrait of moi to share with you!

Handsome, right?

Tommy: Our clocks went back this weekend. It is now dark at 5:30pm! #1 says we will have to be well organised to get in our walks! It's been quite wet lately, so there has been a lot of this:

And the wet-eared look...

Followed by evenings of Springer sprawl!

Vidock: Keep those treats coming!

Fernant: Woofs everyone! Tommy forgot to tell that we got to play!

I had so much fun!

Have a good week, everyone. We are keeping our sweet friend, Loustiquette, in our hearts as she makes her journey across the Bridge today.

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Thank you, Everyone, for all the kind words about our sweet friend, Loustiquette. Needless to say, this sadness has made us focus even more than usual on snuggling. Yesterday I spent all evening snuggled up to #1 on the sofa:

When #1 got up temporarily, Genji took her place:

#1 had the somewhat unusual scenario of Da Genj and Sei-Chan both snuggling up on the bed!

Sei-Chan has been snuggling with #1 quite a bit of late:

I have been snuggling with Tommy too:

I don't know how it appears to you, but I think that Beebsy boy of mine is a bit of a copycat!

But I love my Tommy best!

And anyway, Da Beebs' most favourite thing is undercover snuggling with #1:

Hey, do you know that phrase about true love being looking together in the same direction? #1 and Beebs qualify!

Of course, as far as Genji is concerned, true love is sitting on #1 at every opportunity!

And that's our offering for this Sunday's SoS. Remember to snuggle those you love today and every day. It's really, really important!

Sad SEIturday

Sei-Chan: Today, Dear Friends, I am very sad. I learned yesterday that one of my dear friends is very unwell and will be leaving for the Bridge on Monday. Her name is Loustiquette and she lives in the south of France. She is a sister in fur to Hisia, Genji's Aby cousin who is just as blue and just as crazy as him. Loustiquette is a gorgeous tabby girl with the most beautiful eyes and Tama-Chan and I have always been huge fans of hers (as has #1).

Loustiquette has been courted for the past few years by our tabby neighbour, Basha. He too will be so saddened by what has happened. Loustiquette had been off colour for several days and today, her #1 took her to a special vet who does all kinds of imaging . It turns out that she has advanced, metastised cancer of the colon and there is nothing that can be done for her. Her family is devastated, as are we.

She has been given some strong drugs for the weekend so her family can take the time to love her a little longer and say goodbye and then, on Monday, a vet will come to her house and help her across the Bridge. Please remember this, Dear Friends. Life hangs but by a thread, and we can go from comedy to tragedy in an instant. Make sure to love those you treasure every single second of every single day.

I will so miss my sweet friend.

Frootbat Friday (With Flying Ears by Tommy!)

Genji: It has been a while since we did a frooty post, so here is one for this last Friday in October. I will start with my very own 'bats:

It's a rather elegant frootbat shot, don't you think?

The Da Beebs is over the top, as usual...

You can see that Mama Tama is Queen of all she surveys, can't you?

And Miss Sei is always a little suspicious:

Violette put in a rather nice pic:

As did The Big V:

The little calf in the field next door asked to be included. He has rather excellent ears!

And last but not least here are Tommy's slightly blurry flying ears!

Thankful Thursday - by Da Boys!

Da Beebs: I am thankful that, even though I have not been able to "Houbibi" for some time, I have some fun places I can climb inside the house!

Tommy: I am thankful that I did not get told off, even though #1 found this when she returned from her weekend away:

Da Genj: I am thankful that there were some nice sunpuddles to lie in yesterday, and there will be more today!

Vidock: I am thankful that my dental is over!

Woofie Wednsday

Tommy: I would like to echo my sister Tama-Chan's thoughts of yesterday. Being home with #1 really is the best!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: #1 returned mid-afternoon yesterday , delighted with her weekend away. Rumour has it that she played fast and loose with a bunch of woofies, kitties and horsies whilst she was gone. Still, we were very happy to have her back, and I enjoyed spending the evening next to her on the sofa:

I think I can now return to regular programming...

And dream of a few sunpuddles (it's been raining):

Manly Monday

Tommy: #1 is coming back today. I can't wait! In the meantime, i have been busy catching rats!

Da Beebs: #1 took a really cool pic of me the other day. The reflection from the crystal ball hanging at the window made a rainbow on my furs!

Da Genj: Here are some nice Genbats for you:

Vidock: I have this colo shot of me getting my hoofs done last week:

Lapin: Meeyowz, Readers! I am Lapin the First. We met yesterday. #1 has been visiting me these past few days and I have really enjoyed meeting her. Oh, and guess what? I got crepes from my very own #1 yesterday!

Lafayette: How do you meow? My name is Lafayette and I wanted to say meow as well. I live with Lapin, but I am a bit of a wild boy.
