Wild Thing Wednesday

Da Trav: # said to me that she thought it would be nice to do a post on the outside members of the Gang, such as me and the birds and squirrels. What do you think?

I guess I'll start with me. She snapped this pic of me yesterday. She said I was looking a little bedraggled and I'll tell you why. It has been raining lots and lots for several days and when I move from one safe place to the next, I get wet. And I may have been in a little argument with another kitty, but I'm not telling. It's private business. Here I am in one of my straw-filled boxes.

This is Tufty Rusty, one of the red squirrels. #1 says I must be nice to them, but I don't know...

This time of year, there are so many birds at the feeder! Let me introduce you to a few:

Great Tit:

 Blue Tit:

And totally awesome Woodpecker!

And #1 saw an egret in the next field!

So many tasty snacks, if you ask me, but she says I have to learn to be nice to them...

  1. Living mostly in the wild as you do, it must be hard to be nice to potential food.
However, if you stay close to #1,you will get plenty of food served to you!

  5. Traveller you must nice to all the birds and Tufty Rusty. Just look how cool they are in their photos. We need to respect nature and God's other creatures. I'm sure you don't know what I'm talking about. To you they are prey. It's not easy being a stray cat. You have to be so tough. Am I right Traveller? Tell everyone I wish them a wonderful Wednesdsy!

You do look like you have been a little wet but still very handsome. I love your face!

  9. You look comfy in the straw, Trav ! Dont' fight too much and too hard, buddy ! #1 is no fun about not playing with food, but we think that a warm and comfy spot with plenty of food is worth respecting her wishes (as often as possible of course ! You're a cat after all...). Purrs

  10. It's probably not you that likes to fight, dear Trav. You are probably out investigating and get set upon by a another territorial kitty or group of kitties. It seems like they do this when we get a bit on the older side. And we must fight to get away and save ourselves! Poor sweet one. Stay warm and safe and dry and let #1 love you.
Rusty is a doll and the birds are all so lovely. Poupounette Central is a delightful place inside and out.

  11. We bet it is easier to leave all the possible, tasty, wildlife snacks alone now that #1 provides you with your daily fare Trav! We always enjoy seeing your unique little face :)
