Voyager Vendredi (The Traveller on Friday)

#1 here. You may remember that, for some time, we at Poupounette Central have been feeding a black and white stray kitty whom we call "The Traveller." He is a very, very shy kitty and I cannot get anywhere near him. But for me, the important thing is that he is safe, comfortable, and has a full tummy. Over the past week, I had grown increasingly worried as I had not sen him at all. The food was being eaten but I know that the neighbour kitties, Basha, Grisette and Jade, are true opportunists and will never turn down extra kibble. Every day, I would go to the hangar where he would "hang out" and feel so sad not to see him there. Until yesterday evening! The Traveler was back, as skittish as ever, and it filled my heart with joy. He immediately got a big meal in celebration!

Stay safe, little Traveller! We don;t want any harm to come to you!

  2. Look at that adorable black cap he wears!
Maybe he was after a girl cat? Is there any way to trap him and neuter him?

  9. Oh lordie: he looks like he NEEDS a friend. Is there any way to trap him and get him to a vet? Or something?

Poor baby, bless you for caring for him. I have the same worries about my Oliver, though he WILL let me pet him. Gary, sometimes, too, but not as much as me.

  11. Wound on the side of this dear cat's face looks nasty. Could your vet give you a liquid antibiotic that is flavored with something she knows cats like and you could put it in the kitty's food. I'm glad to know the cat is eating.
My little traveler last year did not fare as well. She was set upon by a coyote but managed to drag her semi disemboweled body to my home to die under a shrub. I found her in the morning. I loved her so. I still cry.

    Bon week end
