Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tommy: First of all, a BIG THANK YOU from me to all of you, my Dear Friends, Woofies, Kitties and Humans, who were so kind and supportive in your comments on yesterday's blog post. I AM FINE! When Dr. C managed to open my jaw wide (and, believe me, it's not an easy thing to do), she found that I had a piece of wood lodged in my palate, right in the roof of the mouth. Here it is:

Dr. C's comment was that it was absolutely typical of me to be so different. She said she knew no other woofie who would have even tolerated that thing without constantly pawing at his mouth. She said it was absolutely amazing that I ate and drank normally, and also played normally, and that the only thing that was different was the smell as the wood became infected. She was able to remove the piece pretty quickly, and I am now on special mouth-targeted antibiotics for six days. She also told #1 to give me only soft food for 48 hours, so this is what I got for dinner:

Pureed chicken with carrots and rice. It was YUMMY! She says that for this evening, she has my absolute favourite for me, fish!

I don't mind going to Dr. C's at all as she is always very nice to me, and it was a great opportunity for some playtime with Sabba, Dr. C's seven-month old Dobie girl who is becoming a great friend.

#1 says that I haven't stopped smiling since that piece of wood came out:
