Thei-Chan on Thursday

Thei-Chan: It's one of "those" weeks, Dear Friends, and my SEIturday is going to be snatched away from me, so I thought I would get in a quick one today instead.

Perhaps a little pink toe to start off with?

#1 says she loves the way I lined up my front paws in this one!

Here I am hanging out by the open window in our guest bedroom:

And sunning myself in the run:

By the way, we heard from #1 and she should be collecting the new-used car  today! It is sadly not a big cat, but something rather better suited to life with horses, and she says she thinks Tommy will really like it!We are surviving her absence so far. We are being lwell ooked after by Fernant's family and by Ms. S.

Wednesday Whinnies

Violette: Well, #1 is off. Both The Big V and I wish we could carry her ourselves, so she would no longer have to worry about things mechanical… Anyway, we will miss her and hope she can return on schedule on Sunday.

Yesterday was a big day because we had our annual dentist visits. #1 did not manage to get a photo of me whilst I was being "done" (or "floated" as they say in horse language!), so here is one taken just after, as I was awaiting my apples and carrots!

I was good as gold for the dentist, and I hear that The Big V was too. #1 was very proud of us!

Vidock: Well, I can't say it's my favourite thing to do but one has to have a beautiful smile! So, here I am, being held by #1 as the dentist worked away:

As you can see, they have a special contraption they put in our months so that they stay open whilst the dentist is working.

It wasn't just me and Violette that got done yesterday. All my family at my old home got done as well. Here is a nice pic of my Daddy, Orgueil, being held by Uncle E as the dentist worked:

And here is my Mummy, Jessy, in a great hurry to go back out to her pasture after it was over!

Tama-Chan's Tick-Tock Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends. #1 is leaving tomorrow morning and she is running around trying to get everything organised as we start our countdown. She had a crazy day yesterday, which included spending almost eight hours with the equine dentist who first "did" all of The Big V's family, and then went over to do Vidock and Violette. That's a LOT of rasping!!!

Anyway, in amongst all of that, she still managed to get photos of all of us, including this nice one of me through the cat flap. I know we've had them before but she says she never tires of them:

#1 says that, even though I have the loveliest eyes, she also really loves this shot of me sitting on my favourite perch with my eyes closed:

Here is a rather unusual photo #1 tok of me from outside, sitting on the sill of the guest bedroom:

But, personally, this is my favourite picture of me for this week: JUNGLE TAMA!

Manly Monday

Da Beebs: First of all, we would like to say thank you, on behalf of #1, for all the good wishes for her upcoming trip. She had a somewhat hair-raising moment yesterday when her accommodations fell through, but she did find a very kind cousin who will put her up, so it's all looking good.

Now, for me and my mancatliness. Just look at this photo:

There were some interesting noises coming from that window I was looking at…

Talking of windows, or rather doors, I was out in the porch the other day, contemplating my Houbibi Days…

And here I am, keeping my manly cool by the fan whilst a certain Genj tries to attack me:

Genji: Sweet little me? Attack? Never! Have you ever sen such an innocent face?

A side view:

And here I am, hanging out with my sister Sei-Chan in the guest bathroom:

Tom: I had a pretty busy weekend, following a pretty busy week, accompanying #1 hither and thither. We went to the pizza place and, in addition to my usual pizza slice, I also got some ice cream!

I also went with #1 to a meeting about a big upcoming Percheron event:

And here I am, having a nap in the company of Da Genj:

Basha: Hey Everyone! Thanks so much for the nice heads-up on my SoS appearance. I thought I would show you my feeding station, with the treat trail that #1 leaves for me!

#1 and Tommy met up with me in one of the fields yesterday and she took this photo:

And whilst I am here. may I say a very special hello to the gorgeous Miss Loustiquette over at Bleue Comme Aby?

Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! As usual, I have exciting news to share with you. Not only did Uncle E come over this weekend, but he had all kinds of strange equipment with him! Normally, when he rides me, I just wear a saddle. But look at everything they put on me this time!

That is apparently a full kit cavalry saddle for the French Army from WWI, so it's one hundred years old! Uncle E and I are going to be in a parade on August 15, and he will be wearing military uniform also. This time, though, it was just me, and didn't I look handsome?

Here is hoping you all have a great week!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Let me see, let me see… Do I have what is needed for a proper SoS post this week? Well, I did my part and snuggled a lot with Tommy!

And I also snuggled with #1 whilst I was at it:

Genji snuggled with #1:

…a lot!

And he hung out with Tommy too!

Here is My Beebs getting a little cuddle from #1 as he snoozed on the shelf above her desk:

This is rather embarrassing but Sei-Chan is MIA from this week's SoS post. On the other hand, as his family is away again (they took Fernant this time), #1 has been giving Basha lots of tummy rubs!

As for the Vs, here is Big V, Vidock, getting a big smooch from #1:

And this week's selfie with Violette!

Gentle Readers, I had better warn you. There probably won't ben SoS post next Sunday. #1 is heading off to England for a few days on Wednesday. She should be back next Sunday, but there in no guarantee at this stage. You know how much we hate it when she leaves but this time, there is no helping it. The Big Cat needs to be laid to rest and replaced with something more robust, so please cross your paws for her!

Seriously Steamy SEIturday

Sei-Chan: Well, Dear Friends, what can I say? It's summer and it's now feeling like it. But, as others have said before me, we are lucky to have cool places, fan,s and our verdant cat run, so no complaints at all!

I have been busy. My sister, Tama shared a nice photo of her lounging in our tatami space but, believe me, she is not the only one! It really is most pleasant as the "zabuton" cushions are very comfy!

I even have a fan available in case of need (I am sure #1 would oblige if I asked her):

And someone has to keep an eye on the toy stash, you know…

All in all, it is a most delightful location, and of course goes extremely well with my name, don't you think? For literature aficionados, my full name is actually "Sei Shonagon."

Happy SEIturday, Dear Friends!

Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: Studly Neighs, Everyone! As you know, Uncle E came to ride me last weekend. I put up some photos on Manly Monday but here is another one. It shows just how happy I was to see him!

My eyes are closed from the sheer joy of seeing him again!

And here I am being taken care of by Ms. S. I have some irritation on my skin on the legs. #1 said that she was going to bring me some Manuka Honey to put on it. It's supposed to be really good!

And #1 has of course been to see me regularly.

On Saturday, there is a retired army colonel bringing some World War I saddles for me to try! You see, Uncle E is going to ride me in a WWI commemorative parade on August 15, and I shall have a genuine saddle from that time!

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Dear Friends! There has been some fun stuff happening this week! On Monday evening and yesterday evening, #1 stopped by to see me at almost 10pm. She was having dinner with friends who lived not far, and as she drove by, I seemed to know she was coming and waited for her right at the top of the field! I of course got an apple and carrot  as a thank you!

Of course, as soon as I see it's #1, I come running!

This one is taken right at the bottom of the field, near where the gate is. You know the place that #1 fell into mud puddles twice in the winter? Neeeeeeiiiiighs!

Thoughtfully Thankful Thursday

Da Beebs: It has gotten quite hot again and I am certainly very thankful to be able to lie down in front of the oscillating column fan!

Tama-Chan: I am thankful that I can lounge on the nice "zabuton" Japanese cushion in our cool tatami space!

Genji: I am thankful that Tommy lets me use his bed and play with his toys!

Sei-Chan: I am thankful for all the lovely greenery in the cat run!

Tommy: #1 told me she has ordered a couple of new balls for me from the States. Friends coming in August are bringing them. I am thankful to them and to #1!

Rusty: I am thankful that #1 still puts out some nuts and seeds for me and my family, even though it's summer!
