Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: Can you believe it's already Friday? We don't know where the week went, or maybe it was just washed away by the rain… Still, they're forecasting better weather starting tomorrow. Hooves crossed.

I had an interesting time working with Uncle Eric last weekend. Instead of focusing on my amazing powers of motion, he focused on my powers of standing still! He kept telling me it was just as important for a horse like me to be able to stand still when asked to, whatever the distractions, as to trot or canter! So, we stood…

… and then stood some more!

That's Arab stallion Hakim taunting me, but I didn't budge!

Afterwards, Ms. S took great care of me!

And #1 was ready for me with my treat bucket!

Violette: Pretty Neighs, EveryFriend! I haven't been doing a whole lot because I managed to lose a shoe again. The farrier is coming on May 7th. And #1 isn't quite up to working me on the long reins again yet. But she did come and gave me a good brushing and loving:

And I would like you to meet my friend and new bodyguard, Diddle:

She is a beautiful Cane Corso. They are supposed to be very fierce dogs, but Diddle works for treats!

I feel totally safe with her around.

  1. Then Diddle must get many treats she is so cute. Yup Vidock. A big horse like you must learn to stay still as well. We agree totally. You're looking good Violette.

  5. You two are a treat to hear from and look at. I love Tommy and all the Chans too but the two of you and your schools and training are fascinating to mom and me. Because until you two, we would never have known how fascinating you are. xxoo
