Thunny Thursday!

Tom: Did you think it was going to be another of Thei-Chan's daynappings? Nope. Nothing of the kind! It's just me!

We have been reading reports of some very strange weather being experienced by our North-American friends, snow, sleet, high winds and what have you. That really is very wrong for this time of year. We have been enjoying glorious sunshine although it has been a little on the windy and chilly side.

Here I am, basking in the sunshine and tall grass (yes, I did get my tick medication):

Yesterday morning, #1 and I were busy putting up our "Koinobori." It is a Japanese tradition to put up carp streamers to celebrate the boys in the family, from April until early May. Big, fancy Koinobori cost thousands of Dollars/Euros/Pounds. We just have a small set but we love putting it up each year!

The weather was so nice that Thei-Chan ventured out into the cat run:

Da Beebs, on the other paw, preferred indoor sunpuddle bathing:

Oh, and guess what? Our apple tree is now in bloom! Apple blossoms are so pretty!

As it is Thursday, we do also have something to be thankful for. Our pals Derby and Ducky gave us an award! It's called the Yoo-Hoo Award and is very colourful! Thank You!

We are supposed to tell you three things we have to celebrate:

1) Our years of blogging and all the wonderful friends we have made
2) Our big, multi-species family and all the love and fun we share
3) Treats and toys, and generally being spoiled

We are supposed to pass this award on to seven other blogs. We're not quite sure who has had it yet so our apologies if it's already come your way. We would like to pass it on to:

Cory and her wonderful family at Cory Cat Blog
The whole gang over at Critters in the Cottage
Millie and Walter over at Bird Brains and Dog Tales
The wonderful big family over at Marg's Animals
Sagira, Starr and Tempest over at Sagira's Blog
Mike, Moe, Mindy and Cokie over at Team Tabby

  1. Concatulations on the award! Here in southern California, we've been having mostly nice spring weather (with a few exceptionally hot days), and I really feel bad that some of my pals in the northeast have had an unwelcome dose of late winter!

  10. Concatulations on your award ! Your carp banners are beautiful ! Mum knows that it's a symbol of strength and tenacity, and despite it's mostly for boys, she got a big one tattooed on her back as she still was judo competitor ! Purrs

  13. I use monthly doses of Advantix, Sagira, although Dr. C just told #1 that there is something new, in pill form, which is good for three months. We may give it a try.
