Frootbat Friday

Violette: I know that today is usually my and Vidock's day, but since this is our last day with #1 before she leaves on her trip, we thought it would be nice if it was a post that included all of us, so we decided on Frootbat Friday, with one set of Flying Ears thrown in!

How about this nice one of me to start off with?

The Big V is being a bit shy with his Frootbats here, but they are there!

Here is a nice set of Sei-Bats for you!

How about some Bibi-Bats-in-a-Box?

Rather Pensive Tama-Bats:

Totally outstanding Pink Gen-Bats!

And one All-Flying Tommy!

Happy Friday, EveryFriend! #1 says she will try to keep the posts flying when she is away but no guarantees at this stage. Stay tuned!

Thankful Thursday

Genji: We have a couple of things to be especially thankful this Thursday (apart from life in general which is pretty great!).

Firstly, we were given a nice award by our buddy Marty The Manx:

This is the "to do" list that came with it:

  •  Display the Award on your Blog.
  •  Announce your win with a post and thank the Blogger who has awarded you.
  •  Present 10 deserving Bloggers with the Award – “who positively and creatively inspire others in   the blogosphere.”
  •  Link your awardees in the post and let them know of their being awarded.
  •  Write 10 interesting things about you
Thanks, Marty! We really appreciate it! As awards start doing the rounds, it gets harder to find those who have not yet received them, so we will do what we can. We would like to pass this on to: The Amigos at Cat Tales, Hisia and Loustiquette at Bleue Comme Aby, Khyra at Khyra's Khorner, Georgia, Julie, JJ and Treasure at Mickey's Musings, Princeton and Precious at Prancer Pie, Darcy and Bingley at Purrfect Haven, Rumbles and Hammy at Rumblebum and the whole gang over at JB's Small World.

Now for 10 interesting things about us. Let's have one each and then try for three group ones!

Violette: I first met #1 when I was four months old and decided there and then I would be hers!

Da Beebs: I met #1 when I was born and I knew right away that I would never leave her!

Tommy: I have never harmed anyone because I was taught early that everyone was my friend

Tama-Chan: I used to be a real scaredy-cat when I was little, but now I am Queen of the house!

Genji; I am the happiest goest luckiest kitty boy you are ever likely to meet!

Vidock: I have grown bigger than anyone expected me to be!

Sei-Chan: I am the shyest girl in the gang

We all LOVE to snuggle!

We all LOVE treats!

We all LOVE being part of the Poupounette Gang!

Now the second item we are thankful for today arrived by mail a couple of days ago, in a great-looking box:

And in the box was the great 3-way tunnel we won at the give-away at Brian's Home!

As you can see, Da Beebs was the first on-site to investigate (I was busy having a nap…).

And he bravely went in to explore:

And then Mama Tama decided to come see what was going on:

She gave it all paws up too!

Thanks a bunch, Brian and Family. We love our Tri-Tunnel!

Woofie Wednesday!

Tom: Yes! It's me! I have a feeling that Tommy Thursday will be taken this week so I decided to switch!

We had really nice weather over the weekend and, even though she was not feeling great, #1 found time to take me out to play in the field!

There were lots of lovely spring-like smells to investigate!

In other news, I know that Tama-Chan has been telling you all about her dangly-tangly prowesses and innovations, but I just wanted to mention that Genji and I have been working on our synchronised grooming routine!

And last but not least, I HAVE A NEW STUFFIE!

It's a great stuffie because it has an empty plastic bottle in it so it crinkles! I love it!

Tama-Chan's Tangly Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Please forgive this week's title… #1 is suffering from nasty bronchitis and she is a mess, and she thought this was amusing. Given her condition, I have decided to be magnanimous and let her run with it…

I, Dear Friends, have been working on my moves! It is with great pleasure that I present you with the Triple Dangle!

This turned out to be a natural evolution from the Double-Under-Dangle which I had just been trying:

And there is also the Crossed Double Hind-Leg Dangle which I tried for the first time this week!

Oh Dear… #1 is tittering in the corner, mumbling something about if I don't watch out, tangle it will indeed be…

Anyway, it is a fact that life cannot be only about dangles, so I am moving in a new direction also. May I introduce the "Tuck"?

What do you think?

And here is a portrait of me for good measure:

Mournful Manly Monday

#1 here. We had already prepared the post below when we found out that sweet NIGEL from Cory Cat Blog had very suddenly left for the Bridge due to congestive heart failure. This is such a shock for everyone, starting of course with his loving family. Nigel had a hard early life and hung around the yard for a couple of years before he allowed himself to be trapped. He had just celebrated his fifth Gotcha Day. Nigel, we are so glad you were Gotcha'ed by such a loving family, and knew nothing but love for the five years you shared with them. We will miss you, sweet buddy, and send our softest purrs, woofs and neighs, as well as our biggest hugs, to your whole family.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Tom: Fair's fair and today is definitely my turn to go first in Manly Monday. And I have a very manly activity indeed to share with you. I went logging!

I really love to go logging but this time was a little less fun than usual because, after we got there, the guy organising it said I wasn't allowed, so I had to be locked up in a car most of the time. But #1 didn't dawdle and, on the way back to our car, she disobeyed (!) and let me off leash for a while. I thanked her by posing nicely for her.

And, by the way, one of the horses logging was the Big V's Daddy, Orgueil. Isn't he handsome?

Vidock: I am very proud of my daddy and hope to be just like him one day. For now, though, I am still considered too young to pull heavy weights like that. Maybe I can get a start on it next year.

Don't you like this photo? I love the way there is a ray of sunshine that comes across my head!

And a little close-up, just for you:

Genji: I think this photo shows off the glorious colour of my furs beautifully, don't you?

And here, for your viewing pleasure also, is the perfect Genji Sleeping Circle!

Da Beebs: I never seem to get mine quite as tight as Da Genj. Maybe it's because I am a lot longer?

But here is my latest handsome boy shot for you:

Wishing you all a happy Monday and a great week!

Snuggles (or is it "sneighgles?) on Sunday!

Tama-Chan: This week, we thought we would mix things up a little, and start with our horsey siblings. So, let's kick off with this selfie that #1 took of her and Violette a couple of days ago:

As for the Big V, here is a rather sweet pic (sorry it's a little dark) of Vidock giving his breeder, Ms. S, a big kiss!

And to stay in the mood, here I am, having a little snuggle with #1:

And with my Tommy:

Genji spends a great deal of time snuggling on an ongoing basis. Here he is snuggling with Tommy:

And with #1:

And with both of them (#1 is under Genji!)!

My Beebs has also been snuggling with #1:

And yes, Sei-Chan has been snuggling with Tommy!

So, Dear Friends, all is well with the snuggles of Poupounette Central this Sunday!

SEIturday Sighs

Sei-Chan: The bad news is out, Dear Friends. It seems that #1 is planning another trip, and she will be leaving us for ten days exactly one week from now. Can you believe it? She says she will be visiting family and horses. Is that a good enough reason? We don't think so. A nice couple are driving up from south-west France to look after us, and we will of course show them a good time. Sigh…

I did find some nice sunpuddles to sit in this week:

And I spent some time out in the run:

But I think I shall have to spend some time sulking…

Violette and Vidock Vendredi

Violette: Pretty Neighs, EveryFriend! I can't believe it's already been a whole week since we last posted.

I don't have much in the way of exciting photos to share with you this week. #1 took this rather nice one a couple of days ago:

And I wanted to show you how beautifully my mane has grown. At one point it was pretty ratty, so I got some Biotin supplements to make it grow in nicely, and look at it now!

And here is a fun photo of Mr. E the other day, trying to explain to #1 how to take me out of my field on her own without falling into that mud puddle that she fell into twice. But #1 says she's chicken, and if there's someone else there to give her hand, then that's the way she will go!

Oh and #1 says she has ordered a lovely new headcollar for me. She will pick it up when she goes to England soon. Go? Soon? Nooooooooooo!

Vidock: Studly Neighs, Pals. I gave you a bit of an update on Monday already so you know I am now back outside in my field, I am also back working, although only until mid-March. #1 has decided that I have learned what I can learn from this particular teacher. So, I will have a bit of a break and then go off for while to where I was born, so that Mr. E can help me get my driving licence!

I also got to finally try out my  mesh cooling rug this week. I think it looks great and it's a perfect fit!

Oh, and I have something exciting to show you. Kathleen Coy, whom many of you know and who did the wonderful paintings of Sen-Chan and Yuu-Chan that hang in #1's bedroom, did a charcoal drawing of me to celebrate the Year of the Horse! #1 absolutely loved it and so she bought it, and it arrived this week. It will take her some time to frame it, but this is what she is thinking of:

Wishing you all a very neighful weekend!
