Vidock Vendredi

Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! I have lots to tell you about! As you know, #1 was gone for a whole week. Then she showed up yesterday morning, early, gave me a good brushing, and then she put socks on me!

She told me I would be going somewhere really exciting for a while, where I would learn lots of new stuff. I thought it sounded really cool, so I hopped right into the horse van:

When we got to the new place, they put me in a box for a little while, and then this gentlemen, Mr.JJR, came and put on my bridle, but with a new, gentler bit, and my saddle on, and took me to the outdoor school. #1 told me he would be my new teacher. First he worked me for a while with a lunging rein:

I had never been in such a big workspace before. It was very cool! Then, Mr. JJR got on my back:

He said I was supple and a really good boy. Actually, he forgot to mention that I am also very handsome…

I am not used to all this hard work, and it looks like I am going to be doing a lot of it, so #1 is going to have a chat with Ms. S tomorrow about nutrition and supplements for me. In the meantime, here is my new paddock:

You can't see it but I also have a shelter so I can get out of the rain and cold if I want to.

  1. Hi Vidock. It all sounds pretty exciting. It's nice to be able to be indoors and outdoor when you want. Btw why the socks?

  2. San, the socks are standard transport protections so he doesn't accidentally hurt his legs whilst in the horse van.

  10. Dear Vidock,
I am sure it was only an oversight for Mr. JJR not to mention how handsome you are! Or maybe he thought that was so very obvious that he needn't bring it up. Yes, I think that is it!
Now... why did you have to wear socks? To keep you muscles warm for your big workout? ? I am glad you get to have a new gentler bit! : )
I hope you love your new temporary home! And let us know how you are getting on!
    Love,
