Thankful Thursday

Tom: To start with, I am very thankful for my fun outing this morning! As the grass in the fields is growing so tall (we are waiting for the farmer to make hay!), #1 decided to take me to our medieval castle for our morning constitutional. It had been some time since we went there and so it was a lot of fun to rediscover!

Here is the actual castle (12th-15th century):

And here I am, enjoying the moat!

Come on, #1! Throw the ball!

Enjoying a good roach in the freshly cut grass:

The Chans are thankful for time out in the run:

And for the endless entertainment of Squirrel TV:

And Violette and Vidock are thankful for their delicious snacks!

There are always so many things to be thankful for...

  2. We love the castle - in fact I think Äiti should build one here. Those lawns look wonderful.
And squirrel tv - well, you know what we think of that!
Is it any warmer in the 'sunny' south ? We still have over 20°C and sweaty paws.

  5. That looks a great place for rolling in the grass Tommy (and hiding in it too). The squirrel looks like great entertainment for you - bet he won't share his snacks with Vidock and Violette!

  6. Oh all of you look SO happy! And mom loves the castle. Ahe misses seeing antiquities like that. When she lived for quite a time in Europe, one place she lived was in Wurzburg just below a vineyard surrounding the Fortress Marienburg. We LOVED that place. Visited it many many times inside. never tired of it. Or any other castle we could find that allowed entrance.

  7. Those are wonderful things to be thankful for. I remember a castle that was in a nature preserve in Cleveland, Ohio. It was called "Squire's Castle" and it was truly a castle back in the day.
