Violette and Vidock Vendredi

Violette: Pretty Neighs, everyone! Or rather, muddy neighs. The weather is not getting any better, friends, but we gather that spring is showing great reluctance to arrive almost everywhere, other than in Japan where the cherry blossoms are out.

Anyway, the other day, when #1 arrived, this is what she saw:

Yep, that's me! The fields are wet, so a great place to lie down for a little dry snooze is on top of the hay! Many of us have been using the same technique this winter!

Very convenient to have bed and snack station next to one another!

The water, however, is a little farther away:

We're waiting for spring, the real thing!

By the way, I'm glad so many of you enjoyed my interview over at Savy's! It was fun to do and what an honour to be the first horse to be featured!

Vidock: Studly Neighs, Everyone! It's just as muddy in my field as in Violette's but I, of course, get to go indoors to a dry box at night. That's what you get for being the sole stallion around! By the way, there is a pretty little bay pony filly in the next box at night, and there is a window with bars between our boxes, so when I get in in the evening, the first thing I do is go and give little Comet a kiss.

Here I am in my field, checking out the girls on the other side:

Of course, I always come over when I see #1 approaching, bucket in hand...

Yum!

Have a great Friday, everyone!

  6. Violette you are very smart to lay down on the hay. There is no spring around here either. We are having a snow storm today (not that I'm complaining).

  9. You do look comfy on the warm hay. We have much the same weather here and snow today. Wish spring would hurry up and show its face. Look at all the mud in your field as you eat from the bucket. I am going to read the interview now.. Hugs GJ xx

  11. Even if spring is reluctant, it's great to see you in the fields enjoying some fresh air and sunshine.

We might just be a little jealous of this Comet....
