Tama's Tuesday Tantrum

Tama-Chan:
Well actually, my tantrum was yesterday, on Monday, but it does sound rather good in the Tuesday title, don't you think? #1 is not quite sure what started it as she was elsewhere in the house but she was alerted to something when Sei-Chan suddenly started growling in the afternoon. She came downstairs quickly and I was running around growling, hissing and spitting, a very unhappy girl. I am not telling on anyone but let's face it, Sei-Chan and Tommy were upstairs with #1, so you know who that leaves as the culprits...

Anyway, the end result is that I got time out in the back room so I could calm down and relax. Even though I call it "time out" it's actually a very pleasant experience. #1 tries to stay with me as long as she can, and she grooms me at length with the Zoom Groom which I love! It makes me feel so much better. It was somewhat annoying to have Genji crying outside the door for most of the time but what can you do? I eventually relaxed properly and #1 was able to open the door once more in the early evening.

Here is my half-way between contrite and pleased photo:

The whole episode also gave #1 the opportunity to do a great photo shoot of me!

Awwww Tama. Did a little Genji cat give you a hard time? At least you got some quality time with #1 and a pawsome photo shoot ;)
You do look lovely :)
We like the title too because of the alliteration ;)

Hooray for one on one with #1!

Whitey has been getting special dispensation on account of his boogery nose. He's been in the office with Momma since he's been boogery.

We hope temper are all soothed now, and everyone will be getting long well. Perhaps #1 and Tommy being way somehow changed some of the dynamics in the house between the cats.

We're sorry to hear you got upset yesterday Tama-Chan - those boys are probably going through a silly phase as boys do!! Anyway you got a wonderful session with #1 and zoom groom (Hannah just loves it when she gets zoomed too).
The upside of this is that we get to see those lovely pictures of her looking very regal.

So is it possible that there was no real reason for your tantrum other than wanting some alone time with #1? BOl - bet you enjoyed that zoom groom massage AND some cuddles with #1. Great photoshoot too.

P.S. Esme has "meltdowns" once in a while since the kittens have arrived :( LP separates her from everyone too and gives her some special one on one time too.Esme is very sensitive and needs plenty of extra love :)

We use "time out" here at our house too...but usually it means that Figaro gets 15 minutes locked in the bathroom by himself for being a trouble maker! It does work well!

We are so sorry that you were forced into a nasty temper but so very happy you had some quality time with #1. I think I shall check into the zoom groom, I know Chani would love it. I wonder how well it works on longhair kitties...

I'm sorry you had to have a trantrum, Tama, but it resulted in a very nice photo shoot! Maybe I will try a tantrum some time.

Wow. You are lucky to have a mum who calms you down. I think every cat should have a tantrum from time to time. It keeps everyone on their toes...

We seem to remember some tantrums in your past. You would see a neighbor cat outside and take out your furry on Beebs. Could that be the reason? If it were a true Tama tantrum, you probably scared little Genji to death!

Tama, sometimes us girls have to throw a tantrum to get the attention we so richly deserve. ~Scylla, the Queen of Tantrums

Vidock, I would love to come ride you and explore the French Countryside. Perhaps I could bring Fenris with me and he could play with Tommy. ~Arty Mouse

How pawsome of #1 to realize you just needed sum extra attention and your own space! We try to give Precious extra attention too.

I think the whole thing was trumped up so you could get alone time with #1!

I don't know - you clever girlcats. Go nuts and you get more cuddles! And those shots are very attractive. Maybe we should try tantrums. Oh, Äiti says I already do.

Tama, are you laughing up your sleeve in that one photo? We think maybe you just made some noise so #1 would spend some time with you. We can't imagine you out of sorts!
