Manly Monday!

Bibi-Chan:
The Beebs here. # said I could kick off today's post. Look what she got for us!

We're still figuring out how to enjoy it best. Mama Tama has been squeezing herself underneath!!! Oh, and, by the way, in case you were wondering... I had just finished polishing off a little bowl of yoghurt when this photo was taken..

I have been enjoying the sky hammock in the study:

And been spending some time in the run when it's dry enough:

And when it's time for my bath, there is nothing like a ray of sunshine on #1's bed!

Tom: These days, I am spending a lot of manly hours with young Fernant, trying to teach him stuff. He is very energetic but not always very attentive. For example, when the frisbee is about to be thrown:

Good job I'm there to catch it!

I have also been accompanying #1 whenever she goes to visit our brother Vidock:

I'm still a little nervous about going right into the big stable where all the girls hang out...

Oh, and we have a guest appearance today. This is Diego:

Diego was rescued by Vidock's breeders a year ago. It is believed that he fended for himself for a year or more before he was caught and put up for adoption. He has had some bad experiences with other woofies so we have not yet been allowed to play. But his Ms. S and #1 are planning to take us to a big open space one of these days and see how we get on. #1 says he is a real sweetie.

Snuggles on Sunday - The Sleeping-In Edition

Tama-Chan:
After a completely exhausting week, #1 has been feeling very much at one with her bed, and we all decided that this was an excellent venue for our Sunday snuggles.

In fact, I will let you in on a little secret: I am becoming a bit of a bed hog...

Although I am happy to share with Sei-Chan:

Bibi often sleeps under the covers:

And he likes early morning cuddles with #1:

And Sei-Chan is always around...

Tommy sleeps at the foot of the bed:

So we can say good morning to him first thing!

You are perhaps wondering about our big little brother, Vidock? As you know he does not live with us, but he does like to snuggle. Here he is asking #1 for scritches!

Oh, and on a final note for today, no the Percherons featured in yesterday's post are not ours, but #1 has known Titus, the black stallion, ever since he was a tiny foal!

Super SEIturday!

Sei-Chan:
Well, friends, she kept her word! #1 came back yesterday evening after three exhausting but fun days at the national agricultural fair. For us kitties, the worst thing was that not only was #1 away, but Tommy was gone too! He spent the last few days with his Briard friend Sissi and apparently had a great time.

It's always rather boring when #1 is away. Fortunately, we had some fun before she left. Last Monday, we had a visit from one of my favourite people, Mr. T! There is something about him which is quite irresistible, and so I find myself just having to give him lots of kisses!

I also spent some time getting reacquainted with our trackball toy:

And making sure that all the connections in and out of the TV were A-OK!

But now that #1 is back, I am back at my usual supervising post!

I am graciously giving a little space to #1 so she can show you the photos of "our" Champion Stallion, Titus de Vanoise:

And our Champion Mare, Toupette des Forges:

Tama-Chan's Tending Tuesday

Tama-Chan:
Yes, I have been tending to #1. Yesterday afternoon, the phone rang when she was on the landing. There was one Tommy underfoot plus one young man who had come to do a bit of tidying up in the garden. End result: #1 went down the (stone) stairs on her bum and elbows. May I say again that no kitty was in any way involved in this! So, #1 has been rather sore. She is particularly peeved because said bum had only recently recovered from the last crash (ice, that time) a couple of months ago. Nurse Tama recommended a nice hot bath and then made sure that #1 relaxed properly.

The bath water was rather peculiar in colour...

ORANGE! It contained bath salts from the Japanese hot spring resort of Arima. Let me take a closer look...

How close can I get without falling in?

Better make sure she is still breathing...

Bathtub surfing is hard work. I need a rest!

#1 said the bath made her feel a lot better, as did a good night's sleep. By the way, despite all promises, she is abandoning us again tomorrow although her excuse is that, this time, she is only going as far as Paris. She will be working at the Percheron stand at the national agricultural fair (Salon de l'Agriculture) and has promised to be back by Friday evening. Tommy will be staying with his Briard friend Sissi. So, our next post will be on SEIturday!

Manly Monday!

Tom
: I got to do hugely manly stuff on Saturday as I went with #1 to see the logging with Percherons in a nearby forest. I spent the entire afternoon enjoying the woods (and staying respectfully away from the big horses). #1 said it was very clear that I was having a really good time...

She was quite pleased with this photo too:

As a wise older woofie, I am heavily involved in the training of young Fernant (our neighbour pup) and I go over to spend a little time with him every day. He is full of energy!

But he is a very studious boy!

Bibi-Chan: The other day, #1 sent a couple of photos of me grooming whilst hugging my ratsie to a friend of hers who is a big fan of mine. Her reply read: "Bibi est toujours parfait. Elegant, star, séducteur, c'est le Robert Redford (jeune) des abyssins." This translates as: "Bibi is always perfect. Elegant, with star quality, and seductive, he is the (youthful) Robert Redford of Abyssinians." BLUSH!!! So, here are a couple more photos from that shoot:

I do believe in doing all kinds of stuff with my ratsie such as enjoying the view from the window together:

I have also been helping #1 with her showering lately...

Vidock: Hi Guys! What's up? #1 took this portrait of me a few days ago. What do you think?

Snuggles on Sunday!

Tama-Chan:
I have to say, Dear Friends, that I am beginning to get into this whole "Snuggle With Your Sister" thing! It is always Sei-Chan who makes the initial advance (not bad for such a shy girl!) but the whole thing really makes me feel warm and fuzzy!

Sei-Chan is definitely the champion snuggler in our home at the moment! She has recently found a new way to glue herself to #1 when she sits on the sofa to read (the green "bit" is #1's shoulder):

And she if of course still indulging in her regular snuggle sessions with Tommy!

Getting back to the sofa... As Sei was "holding up" the back, Tommy was snuggled up to #1's side and Bibi-Chan hopped onto her lap!

As for me, I have been rethinking my long-time philosophy on staying away from #1's bed. I am still not quite won over, but I have been visiting her quite regularly there first thing in the morning.

Wishing you all a Snuggly Sunday!

Strictly SEIturday!

Sei-Chan:
Another late post... Maybe those fours paws up yesterday were a little over-generous? #1 and Tommy high-tailed it out of here mid-morning and did not come back until late afternoon. Yes, you guessed it, horses..... A little more on that later.

I did try to sit on #1 in bed this morning...

but she insisted on getting up regardless. Sigh. What's a girl to do?

This week, I did my usual supervising of #1's work from the shelf above her desk:

And Bird TV was pretty good!

So exciting, in fact, that I needed a nap afterwards!

And getting back to #1 and Tommy, they went off to see Vidock's Papa, Orgueil, at work:

They were logging with four Percheron horses in a forest not far from here:

One day, it will be Vidock's turn!
