FIVE MONTHS OLD!

Genji: Guess what? I am five months old today! Isn't that cool? I feel so very grown-up!

This is me just after I came to live at Poupounette Central. I was a little over 3 months old then. Do you think I have grown?

I am really enjoying life in my Forever Home. I have great siblings that I love playing with, and #1 feeds me all the yummy food I can eat (and that's a LOT!). I enjoy hanging out on my biggest brother's bed:

I even got to go outside in a handsome harness once!

I have lots of cool toys to play with!

And I love helping #1 with her work!

I'm really glad I came to live here!

Tama-Chan's Takeover Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Well, Dear Friends, there was no other way, no other avenue. #1 is so busy that we barely see her as a flash of light running past us, so I have had no choice but to orchestrate a takeover. The mouse is now mine!

Hopefully, this will stop me from becoming a complete basket case...

And I need to remember to look cute too!

A Queen's work is never done!

Manly Monday

Bibi-Chan: For me, Manly monday could be expressed in just one word:

HOUBIBI!

Yes, Dear Friends, I managed a successful escape yesterday. I was not out for long but I had a great time. I regret to tell you that my attempt to repeat the performance this morning was foiled by #1 who managed to hang onto my tail as I was sprinting past her. She apologised later.

Vidock: Here I am looking pretty cool and manly as I amble towards #1 to give her a cuddle:

Tom: Running through the wet fields, I did a magnificent job dyeing my legs a lovely shade of earth. Very manly, don't you think?

Gen-Chan: I have been discovering hammock life and I love it. I think it is super manly to loll...

Snuggles on Sunday!

Tama-Chan: Given how long it has been since our last Snuggles on Sunday post, you would think that there would be lots and lots of photos to post, but no... I fear that #1 has been slacking all around and so our offerings are limited again today.

I have of course been snuggling with Tommy:

As has Sei-Chan:

Little Genji is getting mighty close!

But for now, he prefers to snuggle with #1!

This is not a snuggle shot but here are the two brothers, Bibi and Genji, "hanging out" together:

It seems the beautiful Charolais cows next to the big field are snugglers too!

As we spend our Sunday snuggling, we are crossing our paws that all of our friends on the East Coast of the US will be safe.

Slightly SEIturday

Sei-Chan: We have been watching with growing concern the situation n the East Coast of the United States as that awful Irene approaches. We hope that all of your friends will be safe. We have had some bad storms here over the past couple of days but clearly nothing compared to what is going on there.

In other news, #1's photo-taking has been woefully inadequate lately so there is only one photo of me to include. Can you believe that?

Have a safe and peaceful weekend, everyone!

Friends, Family and Frootbats on Friday

Tom: Well, Fernant has gone off on a "training course" with some friends of ours. We barely survived the 24 hours he spent with us, so we are all crossing paws that he will come back a perfect gentlemen sometime next week.

Here is one of the few quiet moments of the 24 hours:

Otherwise, this was more like it...

I wanted to share some more photos from my last weekend with my family. Here are my Mama. Minnie, and my sister Elsie (with the punk hairstyle!)

The one and only Emily:

And of course Sophie!

Here is Genji's Frootbat submission for this week:

And Bibi's:

At the entrance of the woods behind where the cows are, #1 spied this amazing set of frootbats!

And Vidock said he wanted to do Frootbat Friday too this week!

#1 says she would like to apologise for our irregular visiting of late. She says that things are really beginning to get crazy with preparations for the Percheron World Congress and that the situation is likely to deteriorate further. She will make every effort to help us continue to blog regularly but we may not be able to visit all of our friends regularly.

Thankful to Ms. D on Thursday!

Bibi-Chan: Yesterday, #1 received a birthday package from her excellent friend in PEI (Canada), Ms. D. We think it is the absolute bestest birthday gift she has ever received! You wonder why? Well, take a look!

Ms. D, you have definitely earned a place in our "Friend Hall of Fame". We think you are perfect and are simply devastated that you are not coming to visit this year in October. We thought that was a firm annual date!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: A girl doesn't like to boast but I would just like to mention that I had a very special place in the birthday celebrations on Sunday. You see, I was the only one who was actually on #1's lap. I was wearing my beautiful red Puppia harness!

And then, after a while, I found this perfect pot filled with soft earth to lie in!

Life in general has been good of late. I have been helping #1 with her work...

Guarding her bath towel...

And relaxing in my hammock!

I do hope that things are going to stay this way!

Manly Monday

Tom: Dear Friends, may I start with a big thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday, both for me and for #1. We had a most excellent birthday weekend and a fun party last night! Just look at the cake!

Here is our official birthday photo!

And here is a photo of me with all the girls. Can you find me? I'm the biggest!

Bibi-Chan: I love a good party, don't you? It was warm last night and we sat outside for dinner. As you can see, I was in very good hands as I waited for my cake.

Ms. L is Ms. S's daughter and she really knows how to look after kitties exceptionally well!

Before it got dark, I also had the opportunity to visit my donkey friends:

And then later, I just hung out with Tommy under the table!

Genji: Guess what???? I got to go out too! Don't I look handsome in my Puppia harness?

I was able to explore!

It was all quite exhausting and I have been recovering this morning...

Vidock: Loyal readers and gentle friends, in response to several requests, I allowed #1 to get a proper shot of my whiskers!

In other news, my education continues and I was put on the long reins by Mr. E:

Whereas Ms. S has continued up close and personal work with me:

I continue to be an excellent student, but it is very hot at the moment, so I am not working. We will resume when it cools down a bit.

Wishing you all an excellent week!
