SEIturday Support

Sei-Chan:
I have been on a mission this past week, Dear Friends, a very important mission. You see, of all of us, Yuu-Chan was the one who snuggled with #1 most, and so we can imagine just how very much she misses him. That little pest of a Bibi-Brother of mine sleeps tucked up against her at night, under the covers, but it's not quite the same. I have therefore made it my mission to stick close to #1 at all times so she never feels lonely. She has not managed to get any shots of us snuggling together, but it has given her the opportunity to take some nice portraits of me!

And here I am, giving my invaluable assistance to her work...

Until that Bibi butted in...

We are also aware that today is LIVE STRONG Day and would like to lend our support to a great movement.

In less than two years, we have lost two beloved siblings, Sen-Chan and Yuu-Chan, to feline leukemia, and #1's father lost his battle with cancer in November 2001. We hope with all our heart that this illness, in all its silent and awful forms, will be fully conquered very soon.

#1 took this photo of a yellow late-bloomer in the big field a few days ago:

And this in the medieval garden she visited with her friends this week:

  1. Sei, you have found yourself a worthy mission! I am hoping that someday, no more kitties or humans will have to suffer from this dreaded disease.

  2. Sei-chan, you are a mighty cat to be so honourably stepping into beloved Yuu's pawprints and taking on the care of #1 (even though others might try to get in on the act!). We salute you, and the self-sacrifice you are making by taking on snuggle-duties. It will be so worth it - especially on the cold winter days when the sun is weak and you need the warmth.
We will go back to snuggle on our yellow blankie now - it's a bit cold to be outside already here. Purrs to you all.

  3. We are so sorry for your losses to cancer. May good research continue, with more medical advances to finally conquer this horrible beast.

    Sei, you are a sweetie.

  5. Sei-Chan...you are a hero. Yes, you indeed are because you are being so thoughtful and helpful with no personal gain in it for you other than that your #1 is happy again. We are glad that you are there to take care of her and to love her and to gather the others around so that she can begin to recover from such sadness so profound that we cats may never be able to understand what it is really like. Tiny and I continue to purr for your whole family because we believe that purring is one of the best ways of healing...ourselves and our friends and even people and friends that we have never actually met. Purrs, TheBadCats (that aren't so bad, but we might be once that doggie arrives on the scene!!) Oh, and p.s., thanks to Tom for the tips...you bet your bottom that we will show any canine who is boss in OUR house!! haha!!
