A Few Woofs and Purrs?

Well, the bandage came off and the licking started off again, like crazy, so.... Tommy is sporting an Elizabethan collar for a few days. Thank you for the advice on Wound Guard but the product does not seem to be available here. We'll try to get hold of it from elsewhere, for next time.

In the meantime, Tommy needs to be patient. The lampshade will come off for walks and meals. We would appreciate a few purrs and encouraging woofs for rapid healing so it can come off for good asap.

A few purrs also, if you please for Yuu-Chan who has a bit of an infection in both eyes plus a slightly sore leg. He is on various things to make him feel better (plus lots of treats!), and has been spending time in the sun out in the run, which we hope will help too!

Our apologies if we don't get around to commenting as much as we would like over the next few days. #1 is gearing up for a trip (more on that sad event next week) and things are pretty hectic around here.

  12. Hi Tommy and Yuu-Chan - oh, we're sending healing schnauzer snuggles your way and we sure hope you both get well soon. Tommy - we know the 'cone of shame' is no fun (especially when you seem to be dragging half the furniture round with you at home 'cos it keeps on catching things!) but hang in there buddy, it's for your own good! And we really hope the sunshine works wonders for Yuu-Chan. Get well soon guys! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

  19. Hope you're feeling better soon, guys! I've got a bit of an infection in my eye, too. Mom started treating me with chamomille tea as soon as she came home and saw me. (She initially made it to wash her own eyes, she's got grass allergies, but then she had to share. Hee hee..) Hopefully it will be fine tomorrow, otherwise I'm in for a vet visit.

  20. Sorry to hear that the boys aren't quite up to snuff. Hope the collar for Tommy and the meds for Yuu-Chan help a lot. We know none of us like that collar either.

  23. I think that's the biggest Cone of Shame I have ever seen!

  24. Poor Tommy! We are so sorry that you have to wear the satellite dish on your head. The best thing to do is to crash around the house with it and break the edges so you can rip it off. Ambrose ruined two that way. Also you can bash into the back of #1's legs. Hope you feel better soon.

    Niamh & Ambrose

  25. Purrs to all of you!

Grete has a collar called the "Bite Not", it works really well, but isn't quite so much like a lampshade and let's her get around much easier.

  26. Poor Tommy! The cone of shame. I hope it does not interfere with your snuggles. And Yuu-Chan, get better soon, OK? I think the sun baking for good health is a great idea.

  28. Poor Tommy. Our last conehead here, Rusty, says you can use it as a great weapon by running people.
