Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Well, the news is a little mixed this morning. The kits have the sniffles which we are not very happy about. Fuku and BiBi are sneezing like crazy, GoGo less so, and for now, Hime not at all. But everyone is on meds and eye drops and we are keeping all paws crossed that it all blows over in a day or two.

As for me, the quality of my life has definitely diversified and therefore improved. For the last few days, #1 has been letting me out into the house and the run (when the weather is sunny) with the others for a while each day, so we can start getting reacquainted. So far, it has been going really well. Here are some shots from the run:

Here are a couple of pics that #1 took from outside, with funny reflections. They're good choices for "Toes on Tuesday" I think. The first one is of me and Bibi-Chan:

and the next one is of Hime-Chan:

#1 enjoyed another kitten nap yesterday afternoon. Here she is with Fuku-Chan and Bibi-Chan:

and again, with Hime-Chan in the background:

And finally, GoGo-Chan was in the mood for a photo session this morning, so here he is:

Tomorrow, #1 is leaving very early in the morning to spend the day at the Salon de l'Agriculture, the biggest agricultural fair in France. It is actually held in Paris and is one of the most popular events of the year. Needless to say there will be Percheron horses there, and that is the main reason for the visit, plus of course great food from all over France! Anyway, all this to say we will probably not to be either posting or visiting tomorrow. Tommy is off to spend the day with Pie, and Uncle U will come over and take care of us.

Gorgeous pictures - and good to see the sun out.
That fair sounds very interesting, especially the food part (mom finished the sheep cheese today and is sad). And those majestic Percherons!
    GoGo looks especially handsome today.

Sorry to hear about the kitty sniffles...is it due to all those horrible storms you have been having in your country? Hope they get better real soon (The kitties and the storms!)

  10. Y'all have the best cat run in the world! It was very clever of #1 to construct it. It looks like you are doing very well, Tama-Chan. Great toe pics! And I was pleased to see my little GoGo! Get better soon, little kittens!!
#1, have a great time at the agricultural fair; it sounds like much fun. Is it too much to ask for some pictures from the event? By the by, we are currently looking to buy a registered quarter horse; looking at a good prospect next Sunday!

  18. I'm looking forward to your pictures -- nothing like vicarious travel! Does the fair have a long history? I love to know these things.
The horse we are looking at (since you ask!!) is a 10 year old gelding, dappled gray, 16 hands, and rides western pleasure and hunter/jumper. (I ride English, but BB rides western). We are told he is has an even temper and is good with children. I can't wait to see him next weekend. BB is particularly excited -- she wants a horse so badly. She is turning out to be an excellent rider and she is very good with animals of any kind.

  27. Gosh!! You guys are sooooooo pretty!!! I always secretly thought Tiny was pretty, but you are really, really pretty!! I like your outside garden and I like those pictures of your todes on the windows...hahaha! So funny! I hope everyone is feeling better really soon..so NOT fun to be sick. The best remedy - I think - is to lay down on top of #1...I think our slaves have some special healing powers so they are the best places to go when we aren't feeling well. See you when your slave gets back from the Salon d'Agriculture...what's she gonna do there? Are you getting more pets? A cow or a horse? Oooo! Lucky you!! I would like a horse... they are pretty!! Your friend, Lautrec (and Tiny, too!)

  30. Hello!

We wanted to come by and answer your question. We are all microchipped, mum just likes having the tag for extra id. In our state, New South Wales, all kittens and puppies must be permanently identified (microchipped) by the age of 12 weeks old or at the point of being sold of given away, which ever is first.

When microchipped, the number is automatically recorded by the council. Owners need to then register the number with the council by 6 months. It's a bit of a confusing system, and a lot of people forget to actually register their kitty or pup. There is a fee to register, and it is $110 more for undesexed animals who aren't part of a registered breeding program. That's why you can wait until 6 months old to register, as a lot of people don't seem to like early desexing.

Hopefully we haven't talked in circles too much!:)
