"Life is Grand" Award!

Tom: Our friends over at Forever Foster very kindly bestowed the "Life is Grand" Award on us! We are thrilled and, since we each received it separately, we must each do our own list.

The rules for accepting this award are simple:
1. You hafta give 5 reasons why you think life is grand.
2. You hafta pass the award on to 5 more blogs.

So, here we go:

Me (Tommy) First:
1- I have a great family, consisting of #1, Tama-Chan and a certain little girl still in the back room. And I used to have a wonderful brother, Sen-Chan, who welcomed me with love when I came to live here.
2- I get to run and play in the great outdoors every day. #1 throws me the ball or the Frisbee, or sticks. It's so much fun!
3- I have great woofie friends such as ViVi and Pie and Damia, with whom I get to play often.
4- When there is anything wrong with me, Dr. C looks after me with great kindness, so I actually like going to the vet's!
5- I get to eat wonderful food, a combination of delicious ProPlan and James Wellbeloved dry food and delicious meals that #1 cooks for me.

Tama-Chan:
1- I also feel safe and comfortable and happy living here with my brother, Tommy, and my #1, and soon there will be a little sister to play with.
2- I have wonderful toys and whenever she can, #1 gets me feathers. Real ones!
3- I have a beautiful Puppia harness, in red!  I wear it when I go anywhere!
4- I love to eat raw chicken and #1 indulges me whenever she has the opportunity. I also love soft cheese!
5- I get to sleep in the bed, curled up against #1. It's very cozy and comfortable.

Sei-Chan:
1- The best, best thing is that when I was only four and a half weeks old, my mummy and I came to live here, so I have been enjoying both my mummy and #1 ever since. My mummy has told me that she will have to leave soon, now that I am a big girl, but that #1 will always, always be with me.
2- I live in a nice, sunny room that is full of toys and good food, and cozy places to nap, but I can't wait to explore the world beyond it!
3- I know that soon, I will have a big sister and I think she and I will have a wonderful time together.
4- I get to ride on #1's shoulders whenever I want. It's a great place to be!
5- I  get to nap with #1 in the afternoons and she tells me that soon, I can sleep with her all night. I will miss my mummy but I love #1 almost as much already!

We are supposed to pass this award on to 5 other blogs. We suspect that many of you have already received it. If we are giving you a repeat, sorry! We would like to pass it on to our friends at Cat Tales, Setter Tails, The Zeus Excuse, Misha, and Sophy.

In other news, thank you for the many good wishes for Tama-Chan's visit to the vet. Instead of riding in the carrier, which terrifies her, she got to wear her new red Puppia harness and sit in the car like a big girl, so it was a lot less traumatic for her. She has a couple of different skin issues and will have to take pills for a little while as well as have medicated lotions, but Dr.C said that it would be OK to introduce Sei-Chan at the weekend!

  3. Sei-Chan, guess what? Gandalf also loves to be on Mom's shoulders! He has been doing that since he was only 3 weeks old. He will be 5 years old in 2 weeks. Although he doesn't fit as well now and he is much heavier, he still likes a good neck snuggle every day!

We are glad that Tama-Chan's skin issues do not sound serious or contagious and that the big introduction is nearly upon you!

  5. Wow, thank you so much for thinking of me, you three!

That's really cool that you have your own harness, Tama-Chan. I don't have anything like that, but I suspect I probably wouldn't like it. Wearing a harness might show off my belly. It's why I always have my photos taken as headshots. :/

  6. What grand things to celebrate, Tom, Tama-chan, and Sei-chan. It's so exciting the Sei-chan will get to join the bigger family soon. It's also very sweet that she is bonding so well with #1. We're relieved to hear that Tama-chan's skin issues are not contagious.

Oh, and we'd all like to know more about Tama-chan's harness...does somebody have to hold her when she's riding in the car, or does the harness fasten to something?

  7. I have a harness, too, Tama-Chan. Isn't it great to be able to watch the world go by while riding in the den-on-wheels? You have a very kind and wise human who really looks after you.

    Hope your skin clears up!
